Since 2016, we have led the effort to promote community beautification, litter prevention, and waste reduction.

Our Organization

Keep Statesboro-Bulloch Beautiful (KSBB) is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful and the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation. Our goal is to educate and empower citizens and businesses with the resources needed to facilitate litter prevention, beautification, and community greening within the city of Statesboro and surrounding areas.

KSBB is under the direct affiliation of the City of Statesboro. KSBB works closely with city departments, such as the city Public Works, to help facilitate public programs and events. KSBB also partners with third-party companies to bring in specialized events, such as our electronics recycling drive. A complete list of active events can be found here.

KSBB is continually growing its partnerships with businesses and organizations from the local community. Some of these partnerships include the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority, Galactic Comics and Games, and Ogeechee Riverkeeper. A full list of partnerships can be found here.

Meet the Coordinator

Timeka Shannon is a passionate sustainability professional with a strong background in local government and community-based environmental initiatives. With experience rooted in coastal resiliency and sustainability in Southeast Georgia, Timeka brings a thoughtful and forward-thinking approach to public service and environmental stewardship.

As the Coordinator for Keep Statesboro-Bulloch Beautiful, she is committed to educating and empowering citizens and local businesses with the resources they need to foster lasting change. Timeka believes in the power of collaboration and is dedicated to building partnerships that strengthen community pride and promote a cleaner, more sustainable future for all.
