The annual registration fee for a garden plot at the Statesboro Community Garden helps cover administrative and water costs and is non-refundable. Raised beds (measuring 4 ft x 12 ft) are $25 per year for City of Statesboro residents and $35 for Bulloch County residents. Ground plots (approximately 15 ft x 30 ft) are $50 for City residents and $60 for County residents. Registration can be completed in person at City Hall with Records Manager Robin Demshar, located at 50 East Main Street, Statesboro, GA 30458.
-
Along with the registration fee, each renter must show proof of inner-city limit or Bulloch county residency and sign a copy of the Community Garden Policy & Procedures. To register for a garden space or to be added to the waiting list, please contact ksbb@statesboroga.gov.
All garden registrations are renewed annually upon request.
For renewals: If a plot is not registered by the due date, an attempt will be made to contact the renter to secure registration. Plots for which registration has not been received will be made available to new renters on the waiting list. Any plot that appears to be abandoned may be reassigned with a 30-day notice. Neglected or unused plots may also be reassigned.
