LaDawndra Robbs

LaDawndra’s passion for sustainability is rooted in her commitment to a healthy eating lifestyle. She is the owner of Pebbles Plants, a small business and hobby venture where she teaches both young people and adults how to grow vegetables and houseplants through live social media videos.

Her love for gardening began over twenty years ago while teaching elementary education at a school that maintained a local garden on its grounds. There, she discovered a lasting joy in showing children how to grow and cook with fresh, healthy vegetables.

Since moving to Statesboro, she has maintained a ground plot at the Statesboro Community Garden, where she has spent the past year working alongside GSU 912 volunteers and sharing gardening tips. Known affectionately as “Miss Pebbles,” she takes pride in helping the community embrace a healthier lifestyle by eating fresh produce grown in their own backyards.

She is honored to serve on the Keep Statesboro-Bulloch Beautiful Board and continue supporting efforts that promote sustainability, healthy living, and community pride.

Lauren Strickland

A proud Statesboro native and Georgia Southern University graduate, Lauren Stickland brings a lifelong love for the Ogeechee River and a deep commitment to environmental stewardship. As the Education and Outreach Coordinator for the Ogeechee Riverkeeper, she leads volunteer initiatives, community outreach, and water quality monitoring through the Adopt-a-Stream program. Lauren’s passion for the river extends to all aspects of conservation and education. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, ceramics, and spending time with her family—especially when it involves a sandbar along the river.

Shiraya Robbs

Savannah State Alumni hailing from Kansas City, KS. I have a passion for community service. I have served in the Youth NAACP, University Student Union, D.I.V.A.S, The Hue-Man Research Institute, and also as Miss Juneteenth 2013. I am always looking for a way to get involved in my community. Gardening is one of my newest hobbies. I have learned to really like it and I want others to like it too. I want the residents of Statesboro to be proud of where they live. I believe that maintaining a positive environment will strengthen the morale of this community. I am motivated to bring awareness to anything that will help beautify our community. A community that looks good will feel good.
